Why I Trust Boots in the Dirt

Maybe part of the healing—for our bodies and our towns—is this:

Start trusting the people whose boots are in the dirt more than the people whose logos are on the boxes. Start shifting money from the aisle full of ultra‑processed stuff to the table under the shade tree. Support the small farmer before the only “farmer” left is a corporation with a legal department.

Maybe the first step toward curing cancer and fixing our food isn’t a pill.

Maybe it’s a promise:

From now on, I’ll give my body more things God grew and fewer things a committee approved.

From now on, I’ll try to feed my family from faces, not factories.

That’s not magic.

That’s just a man of God deciding he won’t be a lab rat in somebody else’s experiment anymore.
